Lisa,

the wanderer

A camera. A curious spirit. A tendency to take the scenic route.

Photographer Lisa Nottingham finds plenty of reasons to wander: unfamiliar places, good stories, and light that makes you stop mid-sentence. Sierra Solstice Excursions brings together her love of travel, photography, and connecting with people along the way.

Mindful Light grew from a desire to share that slower way of seeing, to make room for nature, creativity, and the little things we walk past when life gets loud.

Sometimes a fresh perspective starts somewhere far away.

Sometimes it’s hiding in the trees down the road.

Mindful Light,

the local photowalks

Slow your steps. Follow your curiosity. See what finds you.

Mindful Light blends forest bathing with mindful photography on gentle, guided walks around the Sacramento area. Through sensory awareness and creative prompts, we pause to notice the light, textures, and small wonders around us.

Bring your camera or your phone, whatever your experience level. There’s room to experiment, connect with fellow wanderers, and photograph whatever catches your attention. That crooked little leaf? Absolutely worth stopping for.

Coming Soon,

the excursions

Go somewhere good. Take cool photos. Meet your kind of people.

A little farther from home. A little longer to explore. Sierra Solstice Excursions is taking shape as a group photography getaway, starting with four days and three nights of discovering somewhere new together.

Think beautiful places, time to follow the light, and good company that understands why you’re still photographing that doorway. The idea is to bring the travel and photography experience together in one thoughtfully planned package—with longer adventures to follow as interest grows.

The first itinerary is in the works. Your curiosity can start packing now.
